When you use our Services, you're trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

By accessing or using Kameto, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at support@gettagged.io.

Information Kameto Collects

Your account

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier and, depending on what you allow, your name and email address. You can update this information in your profile at any time. We also collect aggregated, anonymous usage data to improve the app.

Content you create

We store the content you add to Kameto so it syncs across your devices — including your tasks, meetings, habits, goals, fitness logs, and budget entries (amounts, categories, notes, dates). This data lives in your own private, per-account space and is not visible to other users.

Your Google Calendar data

If you connect Google Calendar, Kameto reads events from the calendars you tick in settings so your day appears next to your tasks, and writes the tasks you schedule into the single calendar you choose. Nothing is written until you pick that calendar, and an event Kameto did not create stays a read-only entry in your timeline unless you deliberately link it to a task.

Your events are fetched by your own device — on the web, by your browser through our server, which only attaches a short-lived access token and relays the request — and are held in memory for as long as you are looking at them. We do not store the contents of your calendar events on our servers. The only Google Calendar information we keep is the bookkeeping that stops a task being duplicated: event and calendar identifiers, a version tag, sync timestamps, and a fingerprint of what Kameto itself last wrote. Titles, descriptions, locations, attendees and attachments of your events are never saved by us.

Your Google authorization is stored in the device Keychain on Apple platforms; on the web the refresh token is held in a server-side record that no browser or client can read. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Kameto's settings, and revoke Kameto's access entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your health & fitness data

If you connect Apple Health, Kameto reads your step count to display your activity in the App. This is done only after you grant explicit permission. Your Health data is processed on your device to show charts and totals. We do not upload your Health data to our servers, we do not share it with third parties, and we never use it for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. Workout sets you log manually are stored with your account like any other content.

Your avatar picture

Your profile photo is stored to personalise your account experience. This information is used for functional purposes only.

Your subscription & billing

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive whether you have an active subscription or trial and related identifiers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can send you reminders and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Technical data

To keep the service running and secure, our infrastructure providers process basic technical information such as your IP address and timestamps. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking SDKs in the App.

Why Kameto Collects Data

We use data to build better services. Your information will not be shared with others and will only be used internally for the purposes described below.

Provide our services

We use your information to deliver our Services and to sync your progress across your devices. This includes calculating your XP, levels, streaks, and personal records — so every small win is remembered exactly as you earned it.

Maintain & improve our services

We use your information to ensure our Services are working as intended, such as tracking outages or troubleshooting issues you report to us. We use anonymous, aggregated usage data to understand trends and improve the quality and experience of Kameto over time.

Communicate with you

We may use your email address to send you important service announcements, respond to your support requests, and keep you informed of significant changes. We will not send you marketing emails without your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

Protect Kameto and our users

We use information to help improve the safety and reliability of our Services. This includes detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues that could harm Kameto, our users, or others.

We'll ask for your consent before using your information for a purpose that isn't covered in this Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy Controls

While Kameto owns the application's code, databases, and all rights, you retain all rights to your data. You have choices regarding the information we collect and how it's used.

Kameto will never sell your personal data to a third party. We will never share data with third parties without your permission. When absolutely necessary, Kameto uses third-party services and hosting partners, including Google Firebase and RevenueCat, who are subject to strict data protection requirements. We take essential security measures to protect data shared with these providers.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, port, or erase your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@gettagged.io.

Google API Services Limited Use

Kameto's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Kameto's use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

• We use Google user data only to provide and improve the calendar features you can see in Kameto: showing your events beside your tasks, and keeping the tasks you schedule in step with the calendar you chose.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Kameto does not train, fine-tune, or otherwise build any AI or ML model on data obtained through Google APIs, and we do not send Google Calendar data to any third-party AI or ML service for any purpose.
• Kameto has two optional AI features — the plan summary shown during onboarding, and voice task capture — which run on third-party model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI), whose API terms state that data submitted through their APIs is not used to train their models. Each receives only what it needs from you directly: the answers you gave during onboarding, or the audio you dictated. No Google Calendar data is ever sent to them.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve these user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with your explicit prior consent.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we never sell it.
• We do not allow humans to read Google user data, unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or to comply with applicable law.

You can revoke Kameto's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Cookies

The Kameto website uses cookies to collect visitor preferences and improve the user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Please note that some features of our website may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Data Retention & Security

Kameto is built with strong security features that continuously protect your information. All data transmitted between your device and our services is secured using SSL/TLS encryption. We use reputable cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase) with access controls and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

How long we store your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data from our systems within a reasonable period, subject to limited retention for legal, security, or backup purposes. Subscription and transaction records may be retained after account deletion as required by law.

Data Deletion

You can delete your Kameto account from within the App at Profile → Settings → Delete Account. If you terminate your account, we will stop providing Services to you and delete your personal information. Any association between your account and the information we store will no longer be accessible.

Children

Kameto is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If our Privacy Policy changes at some time in the future, we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the latest changes were published. If changes are significant, we'll provide a more prominent notice, including in-app notification of Privacy Policy changes.
